Innovative extraction process of a natural antioxidant, phlorotannins, from brown macroalgae.

Active ingredients, nutraceuticals, cosmetics, pharmacology

Advantages

-Higher antioxidant activity than products of synthetic origin
-Greater stability at high temperatures than other antioxidants of natural origin
-Highly available biomass source
-Flexibility of use for different applications due to its vast bioactivity
-It allows access to strict markets, as it is a natural compound classified as GRAS and because its production process does not require the use of organic solvents
