CeBiB Covid

Several articles in the national press have highlighted the participation of CeBiB researchers in projects related to the pandemic. Alexandra Galetovic, from the University of Antofagasta, developed a new diagnostic tool based on Nanopores for respiratory viruses and, together with colleagues from the University of Magallanes, she is part of the SARS-CoV-2 virus genomic surveillance network. Along the same line, the researcher Alvaro Olivera has also worked on mathematical models that analyze different measures taken by the government (El Mercurio, June 2020).
