Workshops
Since the creation of CeBiB we hold one or two Workshops every year in which all scientists, postdocs, Ph.D. and Master’s students and a few undergraduate project students of the different laboratories and Universities of the Centre participate.
XIII CeBiB Virtual Workshop / July 2021
During the present year 2021 we had our second virtual Workshop in a format much more amenable to such virtual events and using a much more appropriate platform. It took place during the whole morning of June 29, July 1st and July 2nd and we had 6 Plenary Lectures given by International Experts such as Professor Marcel Jaspars from Aberdeen, Professor Philippe Potin from France, Professor Veli Makinen from the University of Helsinki, Professor Stephen Pointing from Yale Univertsity and Professor Han Wörsten from the University of Utrecht. We had prerecorded short talks and posters which were all briefly presented by its authors in ad hoc sessions chaired by the principal researchers of the Centre.

XI Workshop CeBiB / November 2019
Hotel Termas de Puyehue. During 27-29 November, 2019, the XI CeBiB Workshop was held at the Hotel Termas de Puyehue in the Los Lagos Region.
Around 100 members of CeBiB, including researchers, doctoral students, postdocs and professionals, shared advances in their research and new results, 5 years after the creation of the center.
The conference also featured the presentations of two international guests, both members of CeBiB’s International Advisory Board. Mervyn Bibb, FRS from the John Innes Centre (JIC) in Norwich, United Kingdom, presented his successful experience in the field of dissemination of academic results through different mechanisms such as: Spin-outs, Start-ups and Technology Transfer. In addition, Ramón González from the University of South Florida, USA, presented recent developments in applied metabolic engineering with a focus in the chemical industry.
